Heather Campbell Textiles

As a textile designer, I'm passionate about capturing and expressing the natural world in my designs. From my paintings, drawings and photography I create designs then translate these into colorful and sophisticated silk scarves and accessories. My inspiration comes from the saturated hues and vivid landscapes of beautiful Prince Edward Island, where I grew up. This is also where I formed a deep a respect for those who work closely with their craft.

At HCT we are proudly made in Canada by few and expert local hands. I cut each scarf and fur by hand, my collection is sewn in a small sustainable facility in downtown Toronto and the hems of our signature piece, the HCT silk carre´ are hand rolled by a local expert needleworker. All of my silk is locally digitally printed.

Our main focus in producing the collection is sustainable and ethical Canadian fashion. We use sustainable luxurious materials including silk, bamboo and by-product (farmed for food not fashion) Mongolian furs and digital textile printing.  HCT also gives 10% of profits from our Caribou Herd Tees to WWF Canada.

I've been fortunate to collaborate with numerous organizations in developing custom textile programs. My past clients include the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Canadian Opera Company and Kleinfeld Bridal.

A graduate of the International Academy of Merchandising and Design and further study in the Craft and Design Program - Textiles Studio - at Sheridan College, my design aesthetic and focus on quality have been praised by a wide variety of clients. My silk accessories were selected, out of hundreds of applicants, to be gifted on behalf of Canada to Kate Middleton and Prince William on their honeymoon visit in 2012.

I am very proud to bring to you my HCT Collection featuring three stories in classic silk carre´ scarves, Mongolian fur accessories, and bamboo jersey apparel.

Sincerely,

Heather
