Sentaler

The luxury outerwear brand SENTALER was established in 2009 by Bojana Sentaler, whose international lifestyle and keen sense of aesthetics are reflected in every detail of her collection.

Born in Belgrade, Bojana grew up in Toronto, where she earned a business degree from the Schulich School of Business. After a chance encounter with fashion guru Karl Lagerfeld during her world travels, Bojana began to explore her true passion for fashion and design.

Inspired by the diverse vibrancy and beauty of her journeys, Bojana created SENTALER, a brand showcasing feminine silhouettes in an array of vibrant colours, a brand now known for its signature ribbed sleeve details and hooded wrap coats.

With a commitment to timeless design and superior quality, each SENTALER coat is precisely crafted with hand finishes using the world’s finest and rare fabric, alpaca.

In 2015, SENTALER gained international exposure when Sophie Grégoire Trudeau wore the Long Suri Alpaca coat to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s swearing in. Since then, Grégoire Trudeau has continued to be a proud wearer of SENTALER season after season.

In September 2016, SENTALER’s global brand presence was solidified when The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, wore the Signature Wrap Coat in Gull Grey during her Royal Tour in Canada.

SENTALER is often worn by the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. She most recently wore the SENTALER Long Wide Collar Wrap Coat in Camel to her first royal appearance – the 2017 Royal Christmas Service in Sandringham, England.

With features in Vogue, Elle, USWeekly, InStyle, WWD, Vanity Fair, The Telegraph and Daily Mail, SENTALER continues to receive international acclaim for the brand's superior quality and timeless designs. SENTALER coats are available worldwide from SENTALER.com, as well as luxury retailers Neiman Marcus, BergdorfGoodman.com, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Holt Renfrew and many sought-after independent boutiques.

THE ALPACA STORY

SENTALER has fallen in love with alpaca fibre for its exceptional quality and luxury appeal.

The fibre is obtained by shearing alpaca animals, which thrive in the high altitude of the Peruvian Andes. Their hair has developed microscopic air pockets that provide superior thermal insulation, which make SENTALER outerwear warm, lightweight and soft to the touch.

Alpaca is a mild tempered, intelligent and beautiful domestic animal, whose fibre is often a main source of income for Peruvian families who raise them in the Andes. While working with alpaca fibre, SENTALER helps those families to sustain in their way of life. SENTALER is committed to crafting of all garments adhering to cruelty free, sustainable and fair-trade practices.

Alpaca garments do not mat, pill, stain, lose shape nor colour. Unlike wool, alpaca fibre does not contain lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic and very comfortable for sensitive skin.
